What it does

Built for how Urdu is actually written.

Most keyboards treat Urdu as an afterthought — a font swap over a Latin layout. This one starts from the script.

Nastaliq typography

Jameel Noori Nastaliq, Gulzar and Noto Nastaliq render the script with proper sloped ligatures, plus full support for Aerab and other diacritics.

Roman Urdu, converted as you type

Type salam and get سلام. A lexicon of 110,240 Roman spellings covers bht, bohat and bahut alike, so you never have to hunt for a letter.

Voice dictation

Speak in Urdu and have it written out. Dictation is handed to your phone's own speech service — the app never records or keeps your audio.

Prediction that learns locally

Next-word suggestions, fuzzy typo tolerance and a personal dictionary that grows as you write — all computed on the device, with no network involved.

Eighteen themes, six key styles

Flat, clay, glass, neon outline and more, across light and dark palettes. Set key height, font, wallpaper and haptics in Keyboard Studio.

Everyday essentials

A pinnable clipboard, a dedicated number row, Urdu and ASCII digits, long-press alternates and a numeric pad that appears for number fields.

Data, stated plainly

A keyboard sees everything. This one keeps it.

An input method handles your messages, your searches and your passwords. Here is the honest split of what stays on the phone and what leaves it.

Never leaves your device

  • Every keystroke, in every app, including password fields
  • Clipboard entries and pinned clips
  • Words your personal dictionary has learned, which are also excluded from cloud backup
  • Prediction, autocorrect and transliteration, which run entirely offline

What does leave your device

  • Anonymous usage events — which theme or font you picked, which screen you opened — sent to Google Firebase Analytics, which may include an advertising ID
  • Crash and stability diagnostics, sent to Firebase Crashlytics so faults can be fixed
  • Audio you dictate, which goes to your device's speech recognition service — on most phones, Google's — and not to us
